The Ferrari Hydroplane, also known as the Arno XI, is a legendary speedboat that was built in 1952 by the Italian engineer Achille Castoldi. The boat was powered by a Ferrari V12 engine and was designed to set world speed records on water.

The Arno XI made its debut on Lake Iseo in northern Italy in 1953 and immediately set a new world record for the 800 kg class, reaching a top speed of 150.49 miles per hour. The boat continued to break records over the next few years, including the 900kg class record in 1954 with a speed of 162.19 miles per hour, and the absolute world speed record in 1956 with a speed of 176.38 miles per hour.

After setting several world records, the Arno XI was retired from competition and was later sold to a private collector. Today, the boat is considered one of the most important and valuable speedboats in the world, and is still occasionally seen at vintage boating events and exhibitions. Its iconic design and association with the Ferrari brand have made it a highly sought-after piece of boating and automotive history.
